Just heard something interesting from Brad Fallon (established internet marketer founder of Stompernet), on Eben Pagan's Get Altitude program about his thoughts on the future of the internet.

He was talking about how the internet was really invented in 1832, when Sam Morse invented the telegraph. In that, the telegraph was a one way communication network, the only problem is that both persons had to be there at the same time.

The telephone was a paradigm shift, because now two people can talk to each other at the same time, but still both had to be there.

Web 1.0 made it capable for one person to talk to many people at once, simply by giving out your website address. This transcended time and space, because your website can talk to many and you don't have to be there.

Web 2.0 made it possible for many people to talk to many people at the same time. This explains the explosive growth of online social networks.

Web 3.0 he says it's going to be machines talking to machines...

Shark Tank

Great new show from the people who brought you "Survivors", "The Apprentice" and others. It's called Shark Tank, and it's like "The Apprentice" on Steroids.

It's like American Idol meets Venture Capital. The show is both entertaining and educational.

How the Show Works

There are 5 successful business people. Millionaires & Billionaires, and they want to invest to make even more money. So entrepreneurs go on the show, and offer themselves up to these vultures.

So they either hate the idea, and chew out the hopeful entrepreneur, or they love it, and they fight amongst themselves to get a piece of the pie.

I watched in amazement as founders literally give up 55%+ of their business is one fell swoop. Giving up control of their business, a business that they nurtured and grew. All for an infusion of cash flow.

A couple of the entrepreneurs took it as an opportunity to work with people who have done it before. So they didn't mind giving up control of their company to do so.

Recommendation

I highly recommend the show to any future successful business people, you can learn a lot. Some of the business ideas you'll go "Oh my gosh, what are these people thinking, investing their life savings and then some on an idea that's fundamentally flawed." Other times you'll go, "Wow, good idea, why didn't I think of that?"

But either case you'll learn a lot from these millionaires and billionaires.

It's only been the first episode, but it's definitely on my "Must Watch" list. You should check it out. It's on Sundays at 9pm EST on ABC. Also you can check out the episodes online.

This is a CPA affiliate marketing course created by Saj Purkayastha aka (Saj P.) The course is pretty bad ass, with lots of videos.

This is for anyone who wants to learn CPA Marketing, one of the easiest ways to make money online.

What CPA is, it stands for "cost-per-action", meaning you will get paid when a user takes a certain type of action. There is no sales necessary.

These are things like "email / zipcode submits", meaning when someone enters in their email address or zipcode, you will get paid $1.00-$2.00 !

There's no need to sell, just marketing. This is one of the best, if not the best CPA marketing course out their right now. The techniques are pragmatic, down to earth, that anyone could use.

It gives you step by step example on how to make money with CPA.

If you want to make money online quick, and have money to invest, but little time then CPA marketing could be for you. There really isn't a better course out there right now on CPA marketing.

You are getting a lot for your money. You are getting over 10-hours+ of videos that walks you through step by step, from starting up your CPA business to advance tricks of the trade. This course could easily fit onto 10 DVDs, for the price of an ebook.

What I got out of that article was that in order to be a successful entrepreneur (i think) you have to

Balanced between dreaming and doing, between understanding why and implementing the how.
Creating perfection while being pragmatic about realities.
Painting the dream. (Not merely dreaming the painting)

So action step is to have a new pragmatic way of doing things. At least 4 hours a day of pragmatism, because I don't think I can turn off my 'tinkering', 'seeking perfection' mind.

I think it's a balanced... but like I said the article is pretty deep, when I first read it, I had to Google every other word. If you have the time you should read it.

Hunters vs Farmers

If you want to get rich, you have to be a farmer not a hunter.

A hunter chases prey, never knowing when his next meal is going to come in.

A farmer on the other hand, cultivates his terriotory and systems. Trying to get more output of what he's got. He is a long term thinker.

This is similar to chasing money as opposed to building a business. Their are tons of ways to make money in this world. If you get caught up and hunt each one, you will miss your true opportunity.
Like the old proverb says, "The hunter that chases two rabbits, catches none." if you must be a hunter, hunt the big prey, try to do it in groups. Build a team or JV partners.

It is still much easier to get rich being a farmer as opposed to a hunter. A farmer however waits longer to taste the fruits of his labor. But pending natural disasters his food supply is more stable and often times more plentiful.

So the plan has changed for Got Rich Online. Instead of mainly focusing on how to get rich on the internet, the site will cover all forms of wealth creation.

I am excited to lead this website it this new direction. A nucleus for discussions and people dedicated towards becoming wealthy. I believe with this new strategy I can benefit a greater amount of people.

Also the site will be more centered around you the user. It's open to your suggestions and I want you to be more fully engaged with the website.

Clearly this was an old presentation where Steve Ballmer, current CEO of Microsoft gave about what looks to be like Windows 95.

"Developer, developer, developer..." trying to pump up the audience of programmers.

Just got me to think that "It's about the platform.", back in the day when Windows and Microsoft was King, it was because they were the platform of computing. No computer could be turned on without running Microsoft software.

Now, it looks like the standard platform for all things tech is the Web. And guess who's 'the platform' for the Web? Google. And they are now king of the hill.

Just made me think that, if you want to be a huge company you have to be 'the platform' where things are built from.

4 Reasons Why Federer and Nadal is Better then Andy Roddick

Andy was great at Wimbledon, wish he would of beaten Federer at that marathon of a match. I think that the winner of that match had more to do with 'energy management' then anything else.

I was listening to a seminar and the speaker Tony Schwartz, best selling author, tennis player and "Energy Expert", talks about the 4 things that Federer and Nadal does that no other tennis player does.

The 4 Things that Federer and Nadal does Religiously that No Other Tennis Player Does

1. Player hits shot, the point is over, then turns around and walks away from net. Let's it go, once a point is over, it's over and further use of energy expended there (except at some point in the future to reflect on lessons learned) is a waste of energy.

2. Player switches their racket from dominate hand to non-dominate hand. Gives their arms a break, to be more powerful later on in match.

3. When moving to the backcourt, fixes the strings on their racket. Staying focused, not letting the brain get in the way of their "Body Genius".

4. Walk with a look of courage (shoulders back, head up). Because how you hold your body influences how you feel.

Thought that was interesting and wanted to bring it to Andy's attention, also wanted to get his Tennis Fans opinions to see what you guys thought.

Russell Brunson interviews Vincent James in the 12 Month Internet Millionaire.

Russell Brunson is an internet marketer whose company DotComSecrets makes over 7 figures a year and is approaching 8 figures.

He interviews Vincent James, who is an infamous direct mail marketer whose company made over $100,000,000 in under 2 years. That's more then the salaries of most of the top CEO's in big companies like Sony, Disney, McDonalds combined.

What the course was about

The course was about direct mail and direct response marketing. Direct mail is those 'junk' mail you sometimes get in the snail-mail. It has made some people millionaires.

The audio talks about a lot of different strategies on how to make money with direct mail that can be applied to internet marketing. It also discusses a lot of other direct response tactics, like magazine, TV advertising.

It is a great overview on the subject, and talks about how one guy went from $0 to a $100,000,000 business. Although it's not a complete how-to course, it is a good listen that will give you the general concepts of making that much money in a short period of time.

What's My Recommendation?

I recommend that if you haven't read the original "12 Month Millionaire" book by Vincent James, you should get the audios.

It gives you a great general overview of the direct response business, which if you aren't a big fortune 500 company, the only advertising and marketing you should be doing.

It tells you the sort of mindset, and gives real details and the success story of how one person went from $0 to $100 million in 2 years.

Affiliate Payload is a CPA course by Alex Goad and Saj P. (Saj Purakayastha). It's one of the first course about CPA that I've seen and imho it's still one of the best.

It goes deep into techniques and strategies of CPA (Cost Per Action) offers. From how to sign up for CPA networks, to putting up your first offers page, to adwords, media buying and even incentive offers.

Although it's not advertised as a CPA course, it's definately about CPA, although it has some regular affiliate marketing stuff in there as well.

I highly recommend it if you want to get started with CPA. It's a full-featured course with video training as well as a massive informational ebook.

The name switch came because of many reasons. Mainly because of the clarity of the new domain name and the confusion of the old one.

Now people will understand what the website is about at the breath of the name, wealth hack was too much of an 'insiders lingo', Got Rich Online should element any confusions.

Also Eben Pagan's Get Altitude course motivate me to switch domains. Creating a name that ways more phonetic. (More pleasant sounding to the human ear.)

The more phonetic your name, the more memorable it'll be. Good phonetic name brands include Coca-Cola, Kodak, Google, names with rhymes, same sounding syllables and has rhythm.

Also I made the switch was because when I first dreamt up WealthHack, it was never meant to be a site dedicated to helping people get rich online. It was a play on words with (lifehack). Also it combined by two passions, secrets of wealth and beauty of computers.

But this website is not about me.

It's about you and getting you rich. It's about helping you and helping people spread the wisdom, secrets and systems of successful fore fathers.

How to Be Positive

Most people who are negative believe that they cannot get a positive mindset. They think it's too hard, that it's not them, or that if they 'pretend' to be positive they are just being fake.

You see, if you aren't positive, it is ingrain in you that you are a negative person. It Just who I am, you say to yourself.

There's a difference between believing that sometimes you have negative thoughts and actually believing you are a negative person. If you believe that you are a negative person then it'll be hard for you to change.

You might not even want to change, because you don't believe that you can change. You might think that if you change who you are, that what are you left with?

There's a myth about who you are, your identity that you must overcome before you can change. You have to believe in change, growing, evolution and improvement first before you can start the process.

How do I Change My Negativity into Positivity

Okay so you believe in change. That change is life and that you can't escape it. But you are still in a negative place. You might say to yourself,"I have nothing to be positive about."

You are waiting for something to happen to you or in your life before you start being positive. You wait for life to happen and positivity to show up.

There's a catch-22 with that thinking. It's goes back to they phenomenon of the chicken and the egg.

You can't be positive because you are negative, and you are negative therefore you can't be positive.

You can't be positive, because there's nothing to be positive about. There's nothing to be positive about because you aren't positive.

You aren't positive about life because there's nothing to be happy about in life. You aren't willing to take any action to make yourself happier because there is nothing to propel you to take action because you aren't positive.

You are not positive, because you don't do anything that would move your life positively. You aren't motivated to do anything to move your life, because you aren't positive enough to do it.

You see the chicken and the egg phenomenon? What comes first, positivity or positive actions?

But I'll Be More Positive When There's Something to be Positive About

You might feel like you will get your life together once there is something to feel good about. Let's say you're waiting to win the lottery, waiting for that job promotion, waiting for the love of your life to walk through the doors and pursue you.

You are waiting for something exterior to make you change your interior. You are waiting for something to happened to change your life, instead of changing your life right now.

This is an interesting situation...

It kind of make sense, because why be positive, do all these different things, get different habits? Now's not a good time, let's wait for something good to happened first before I change my life.

The Trap of Waiting to Become Positive

There's this great theory out there called "The Law of Attraction", which states that you attract what you are. That like attracts like.

The Law of Attraction, is a fact. Your brain have this system called the Reticular Activation System (RAS). Which acts like a filter between everything that's going around around you, or with your body.

If your mind were to process everything that's going on, from the smell and feeling of the air, the noises in the streets, the ticking clocks, the temperature, the feeling of your chair, your posture, your breathing, your heartbeat, and on and on and on... it will explode.

There are millions of things going on within us and all around us at the same time. So your RAS filters out what's important and what's not important.

A good example of your RAS in action is that if you ever bought a new car. You start seeing that same model car everywhere. Those cars were always there before but your mind just didn't notice it. But once you bought that car, your RAS kicked in and is train to notice those make and model of car.

If you are a negative person then you are constantly thinking negatively. Your mind and sub-conscious mind (RAS) sees everything that is negative.

You know the saying that it's not what happened that matters, but it's how you look at things? About the power of perception?

That's so true, and it all has to do with your RAS. So if you are a negative person, you will never become a positive person automatically. You have trained your mind, and your sub-conscious mind to always see negative things.

You will always look at everything in a negative light. The old adage about the cup being half-empty or half-full, for you the cup will be always empty.

You are only attracting negative things into your life. You are only thinking negative thoughts. You will look at your life and at the world through a negative screen.

You haven't realized that things are neither positive nor negative. That they are nothing, and all at the same time. It's all about perception.

So you see if you are a negative person, waiting for something positive to happen in your life before you start your life in a positive direction, then you will wait forever. Nothing good will ever happen in your life, because everything that will happen will be looked at through negative blinders.

So, How Do I Start to Become Positive?

In order to become positive if you are currently not, is to start with sparks of positivity.

Sparks of positivity is to start looking for the little things that are positive about any situation. Start looking at the positive about everything.

Train your RAS to see the positive about stuff. Start small and start seeing positive about everything. You can ask yourself "what's good? " about everything.

There's always a bright side towards everything if you look for it. Make notes of the good stuff that's already good. Keep a journal about the good stuff that happened to you that day.

You're life will change guaranteed if you start seeing the positive about everything.

If you are a half-empty cup person, and see the world like an empty cup, gradually fill that cup up. Once you start, your cup will be fuller and fuller, until it becomes half-full. Then you will start to see everything fuller and fuller.

But you have to start seeing those sparks of positivity. You have to find in order to see. Ask yourself What's Positive about this? What can I take away from this that'll improve my life? What Can I learn from this?

When you start seeing those sparks of positivity, you are going to train your mind and sub-conscious mind (RAS) and you will notice your life start to move into a much more positive direction.

Michael Jackson Took Down Google

R.I.P. Michael Jackson who died yesterday of a heart attack. Now there was someone who changed the world.

Funny story about how his death 'took down the web', there have been reports that Google was down for 30 minutes because they thought they were under attack, but it was just floods of visitors.

Twitter saw triple the amount of updates, Wikipedia halted the MJ wiki page from updates. TMZ was down.

An interesting thing is that the mobile web saw record breaking numbers. This is because people were at work but wanted updates.

This is interesting, because that means that cell phones are quickly becoming a platform for rapid news distribution. Thanks to text messages, twitter and smart phones.

We'll always remember Michael for his mind-altering moves, music and his ability to captivate society. He's still shaking things up, even in the after land.

3 Success Lessons Learned Watching a Soccer Match

United States just defeated Spain in a 2-0 soccer match to move them onto the semi-finals of Fifa's 2009 Confederations Cup!

Awesome, I had a blast watching it with my Dad. The game was at 2:30pm eastern time, so right smack in the middle of my new work schedule.

But having witness US play Egypt and came back from improbable odds just to make it to the finales this was a game I didn't want to miss.

They showed great heart, and shows what you can do when you ignore the obstacles in front of you and just have the resilient to plow through any obstacles.

Some lessons learned.

1. Have faith in yourself, and ignore the 'impossible'. Just because something is hard doesn't mean it can't be done. Just put your nose down and get to work and good things will happen.

2. Be relentless, and have more 'heart' then the next guy. We are all in one big game. Play a little harder, a little longer and a little smarter then the next guy and you are sure to win.

To be successful you just have to be better then 80% of your peers. To have huge success, be better then 90%. To have a life that will be renown, be better then 99% of your peers now.

3. Learn from your past to fly in the present. The US squad clearly learned from their previous two games against Brazil and Italy that a passive approach wasn't going to win you any games.

They learned from the game with Egypt to play with heart, leaving it all out on the field. When you give it your all, good things happen.

The cheap will never be rich. They are too consumed by finding a good price that they forget that it isn't all about price.

You have to buy on value, and invest in value. Especially if what you are buying cost a lot of money. You can't base your decision entirely on price.

I have been guilty of this in the past as well. I might be a little 'too cheap' here and there, but I try to get 'The most bang out of the buck'.

It's better to buy a good product, but try to find it at the lowest price. As opposed to buying the cheapest product you can find, just because it's the lowest price.

Remember there's a time element to it as well. Things either cost more in money or more in time. Don't spend all your time researching price, if the price on time is not worth the savings.

Buy quality.

The Twitter Economy

It amazes my how a successful company or idea could spawn a new industry. Take for example Twitter.

It's the hottest thing since the last social media craze (FaceBook). Now everyone is talking about on the news, and it's getting more popular everyday.

The amazing thing I think is that there are now companies that are built around using twitter, and offering product and services for sale that incorporates Twitter.

Letting you do more stuff with/from Twitter, like Instant Following, Twitter Management etc.

So once a product or service becomes popular enough you can make a living within that particular product space. For example eBay is the best case, were thousands of people make a living just by using eBay.

There are companies that all they do is create Applications for FaceBook and Apps for the iPhone. There are companies that made millions selling MySpace themes and templates.

This piggy-backing approach is common online, where most people visits a few sites. You could be a multi-millionaire just by piggy-backing off of Google. Sending visitors from Google over to your website where you sell them something.

The point is, if you want to create a huge company like Google, eBay, FaceBook, Twitter etc. There has to be an opportunity for 'an economy' to be created within the bounderies of your website or service.

It amazes my how the web continues to change. Just when you thought there was nothing left that the web can do. And some Google employee's even then that search engines were almost perfected, up comes a paradigm shift.

These interrupting technologies that change the way we use the internet, and shakes the foundation of the web.

One such technology is Twitter, or various copycat (Facebook anyone) status updates. The blogosphere gives way to the statusphere. Article entries in the form of an easily archivable entry is replaced by short 140 charactor length text entry.

Now when someone has a cool link they want to share, they no longer post it on their blog, but just past the link along with a short description of why they think it's cool.

The "short-url" is also a technology that is a result of the Twitter madness. It shakes up how we view url links, (the foundation of the web) forever.

Now, no longer a link could get easily transparently passed. Google will have trouble figuring out what the link means, so will humans. Google's pagerank metric they use to judge if a page is good or not, (google juice) is compromised by the popularity of these short link services.

I for one am grateful. Just when you think you have the web all figured out, up comes a game changer. If you don't adapt you will be left behind. Can't wait to see this new web 3.0 full of short burst of text and knowledge.
